How CWM can help pie manufacturers
Our pie lines could assist you with quality control, as well as significantly increasing throughput and efficiency. We can develop solutions for a number of different types of pie including meat, fruit, pork pies and many more. With fully and semi-automatic options available, which can be integrated with your existing machinery, CWM are capable of designing bespoke solutions to meet your exact production requirements.
Our pie lines are suitable for both metal pie tins or foil pie trays and can be supplied with automatic tin/tray de-nesters. Change-part tooling is provided to cater for different packaging formats, allowing for maximum flexibility. Changeovers can be easily carried out in under 5 minutes, without the need for any tooling.
Ancillary Equipment
As well as fully automatic pie lines, we can also provide ancillary equipment that can be integrated with your existing machinery to upgrade and enhance its overall efficiency. The ancillary equipment we offer includes: product depositors, pastry sheeters, flour sprinklers, waste pastry removal and automatic end-of-line tray loading/unloading systems.
Example: CWM 500L Mini Pork Pie Line
Our customer was seeking a solution to produce mini pork pies, aiming to achieve output speeds of approximately 20,000 pies per hour. They were looking to invest in a full turnkey solution, with the aim of increasing their overall production efficiency.
CWM took the customer’s requirements on board and developed a 500L inline pork pie making solution, complete with a pastry blocking assembly, meat depositor, pastry sheeter, crimping assembly and ring heating assembly. A pie eject station was also built at the end of the line, removing the pies from their rings and ejecting them onto a baking tray.
